GI Cancer Fundraiser

Here are 2 of the 10 great projects that we did at the GI Cancer Fundraiser on Saturday. My great friend Heather Summers created all t he projects and held this wonderful event in honor of her father to raise money for GI Cancer reserch. I just love the Baja breeze with the Chocolate Chip. These two colors are great together and add a felt snowflake with a brad and they are stunning!!!
I can hardly wait til Christmas to hand out all the hand crafted gifts this year! I bet anyone who receives on from me will be very happy! Well I hope you have a great evening and I will post some scrap booking pages tomorrow from my online Got Sketch Express class.

Here is a super cute Rudolph bag that I will be giving to the girls that signed up for the fundraiser tomorrow. All their projects and goodies are inside. I cased the "Rudolph from Heather Summers - who did it with punches for a card for UStamp holidays- online class. It was soo cute I had no choice but to remake it my way on a bag for her fundraiser. The fundraiser is for GI Cancer research in honor of her Dad! Heather is the most loving, caring and giving person I know. She has an amazing personality that you are just drawn too. I am glad to have met her and be a part of her down line!!!

She used all Stampin' Up! punches and products! As I did too remaking it. Got to love the glitter on the antlers and his nose! Kids will love this too! Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Christmas Card and more

This is another great card that I made from the new UStamp Holidays- another online class with Heather Summers and Dawn Raspsa. This is there 2nd online class. This is another great time making alot of great gift and card ideas for the holidays! I tell you these ladies are talented!
This card here is sooo cute. It has Mr. Twigster stamped in Choc Chip ink then Icolored him in with the white gel pen and colored with a few other markers. As you can see this is a shaker card and it has chunky glitter and white beads in the circle. I also dressed it up with the new ribbon in the Holiday mini from Stampin' UP! and a felt flurrie in white with a brad. I love the color combo of Choc chip, kraft and the blue DP - from Ski Slope.
I especially love when you open the card you can set a pic inside-awsome for the holidays... sorry I didn't have a Christmas pic. Enjoy your evening!

Festive Friday

So sorry this is a late post. Almost forgot it was Friday and Festive Friday at that! So here is another Christmas Card creation.

I used Whisper White and Chocolate chip card stock. I used Ski Slope Designer Paper and choc chip 1/4 grosgrain ribbon. To add bling to my card I added some chunky white glitter and a white pearl to the large snowflake. I sooo love this card. I'm thinking I should of added choc chip card stock behind the designer paper though. Next time. Enjoy your weekend and keep warm!

Another Christmas Card

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been pretty busy with Thanksgiving, painting our porch and recently feeling sick! Does it ever end? Apparently not. I hope you like this card I created. I used all Stampin' Up! supplies.

You can't see in the photo but I used some crystal effects on the snowflake and in the center of the pointsettas. I used Whisper White, ridinghood red, kiwi kiss cardstock and ski slope designer paper (love this designer paper set) and also my fav the kiwi kiss\very vanilla satin ribbon! Image inked in kiwi kiss and I used the Season of Joy stamp set. Hope you like it! Enjoy your day!

Happy Festive Friday!

Well it's festive Friday, so I thought I would start posting my very own creations! I also wanted to start with Christmas cards so today was the perfect day to begin. I have made up 5 Christmas cards in this set but will post the others later. I also made up a 3-d item so you'll have to check back if you want to see them. This one is my moms favorite. I'm not sure if you can see in the photo that I raised the poinsettia's , after cutting them out, and added felt flowers cut as leaves.
I think it makes it look more interesting! I also love how I added the ribbon!
Happy stampin' and creating!

My oldest - Danielle

This is a pic of my oldest Daughter Danielle .This pic was taken at a cheer competition in Kitchener where they placed 2nd! This was back in March. The London Lynx were a new team. What young and awesome coaches they had. The team is not running this year, due unforeseen family circumstances. Alot of the girls were upset but understand. Danielle is taking the year off. She's thinking of joining gymnastics so she can do better tricks! Well hope you have a great night!
From OWL of us!

Sorry the colors don't show very well because I took the picture this evening- but my daughter needed a card for a friend ( a boy) at school who is moving this Friday. She wanted it to be from all of her friends so we came up with this design. The stamp is retired but I love it! There is a new owl stamp in the catalogue sorta similar. I free handed the limb, but it's just like the one in the new stampin'Up! catalogue. All the card stock is the new vibrant in colors , accept the grey. The DP is Urban Garden. A new DP I just love!!! I will post a few Christmas cards I did up with 1 gift in a day or so , so be sure to check back!

Well Christmas is coming up fast! I'm hardly prepared! Crazy I know to be thinking Christmas already, but it's just around the corner! I know Thanksgiving is coming up too... only a week away. How I love Thanksgiving...I think it's the family time , good food , and great time of year-it's soo beautiful. Oh yeah and the great conversations! I am a little sad that my side of the family is not getting together this year, due to work schedules!! I don't like it one bit! So I look forward to Christmas! With that said here are a few Christmas cards that I cased from my UStamp class. The projects are awesome. I am sad this class is over but happy that Ustamp Holidays will be starting real soon! So I will definitely be prepared!!! I love the quick and easy style to the cards I made up- yet perfect! All supplies used are from Stampin"Up! Hope you have a great evening!

Well I hope this works . I have had a few picks to post but I am unable to post them. So I thought that i would write about a few things first then see if it works, again. I've read on other blogs that they eventually have problems posting pics so they then switch to a new sight. Hopefully that's not the case.
It's been a pretty laid back day. I went for a 5km jog this morning, made a few Christmas cards then relaxed and watched a movie on tv-sisterhood of the traveling pants. Not bad, more for tweens and teens, but ok. Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving supper at our church, right after the service. Can hardly wait to eat Turkey-mmmm. Well it looks like no pics today , sorry!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Here is a super cute 2 pager from my online Got sketch 102 Class. I'm really starting to like scrap booking more. A little less frustrating from when I first started. I guess the more you do it the better you can get at it!!!! Let's hope so!

The 2 pages are from African Lion Safari . The paper end embellishments are from Stampin' Up! I just love their new in colors, they are vibrant and fun colors. I also love their Designer Papers, they have great colors and styles! Their Simply scrappin' kits are amazing and take all the guess work out of putting together pages for scrap booking! Anyway hope you have a great nite- and thanks for stopping by!

Here is an AWESOME journal that I made from the UStamp class. I just followed the pdf file. I changed the inside style a bit. I added designer paper over the card stock and added a window. There are 6 dividers with pockets to put stuff! I put the word window so it could be labeled!
This week is meet the teacher night so I was thinking I may give it to one of the teachers. I hope to make one more for the other teacher!
Hope you like it ... Have a great week!

Did I mention that my husband's parents have a 40th Anniversary coming up next weekend? I have been busy lately with getting stuff ready for that.

Yesterday I took a few pics of his parents at a park near by-they don't have many nice or recent pics together , so I offered to take a few. Did I mention the other part of my task was to do up a write up for the paper and add a pic....

So then I thought that I would use some of the pics and make a page for the layout from my Got Sketch 102 class and also set it out for the open house.. and give it to them as a gift! I love the new ribbon I used from Stampin' Up! mini catalogue available to you October 1, 2008!! I love the technique that Got Sketch 102 showed us- I used the pleated technique! I love the overall outcome!

Here is yet another layout from Got Sketch 102! I am soo getting some scrapbooking caught up! This class keeps me acountable, not to mention that it was next to nothing to join- and I get great scrapbooking pages done for my great memories to share with my family- they will appreciate them when they are a little older! I have one more to post then I have some catching up to do for my other on-line class UStamp! There is a great project calling my name! I better get to work on it!!!!!!

Saturday, September 20, 2008

Here is another Got Sketch 102 layout! The 2 girls are my youngest two at Springwater Park. It was a beautiful day to walk through the trails ,walk on the boardwalk and then play at the park. We all enjoyed the outing , and took in the beautiful sights

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Thursday, September 18, 2008

I love this layout- only because it looks classic or old. Also because I printed the pics in Sephoria( not even sure if I spelled that right?)

I love the new Stampin' Up! Bella Rose paper. I also used the pretties kit for the flower and pearls also from Stampin' Up!

This layout was from my awesome Got Sketch 102 class on line. I will post another one later today! Have a Fabulous Friday!

Here is another layout that I did up from Got Sketch 102. I love this layout because I could put a picture of all my kids...aren't they adorable! They all are sooo cute! This is one of my favorites.

I used one of the retired now Stampin' Up! scrap booking kits-family. They are soo awesome! You get alot of stuff and can make up alot just from one kit. Stampin'Up! has alot of great new kits!!! I guess I should use up some of the one I have before I get any more! I think I'll make up a few more pages , a couple of cards and a small scrapbook.

Here is the small scrapbook that I made up from my other on line class UStamp! This is an awesome scrapbook. I haven't added any pics yet. I am waiting to take some family pics when the whole family is down in 2 weeks! My mother-in law and father-in law will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. All the kids planned a open house. I hope to post some pics from the event!

Anyway, hope you all have a great night!

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Hi everyone. I will be posting a few scrapbooking pages from my Got Sketch 102 Class on line. This is the 2 nd class on line with Valerie Salmon and Janna Wilson. This class on line is all scrapbooking this time- what was requested from the survey. I am sooo far behind on my scrapbooking and felt if I paid for a class I am sure to do it, with a better outcome!! The online classes help me learn different techniques and set up. Takes alot of frustration out of doing it myself. After I learn a few general things I hope to be able to add my own style by myself. Big step for me- I'm soo "green" This page is from the cottage we went to in the Summer in Haliburton. I soo loved it there!

Saturday, August 30, 2008

Sweet Saturday!!! Yah it's been a busy long Saturday. My husband is a volunteer Firefighter and he had an event known as the Fire Muster .This is where a bunch of fire departments from different fire stations in the area and some from the US come over to compete in different events. Events like Truck Efficiency , Fast Water , Tanker race , Burning House Bucket Race , Midnight Alarm and Rescue Run. All the events are very cool . My husbands department won 1st overall again this year!!! They also have other events at this park too like a dog show, rides , food , play equipment and a splash pad!!! All my kids had fun... I'm tired and exhausted! Anyway I was up late last night working on another, you guessed it "UStamp" project! The pictures aren't very bright because I took them late- sorry. I just love the new bright colors and the project of 6 cards and the box like card holder for them! All supplies used are from Stampin Up!

Friday, August 29, 2008

Happy Friday!!! This is the long weekend! Yah!!!!! Well here is yet another post that I made from UStamp , the online class that i signed up for! Gotta love the cute projects that they come up with. They are so fun and easy- you can even get the pdf files to follow the simple instructions! You can even add your own style to any project. This one is by Sarah Gough- a very talented crafter from New Zealand!!!! The project is "Sarah's Notepad". I made it for my 12 yr old daughter Danielle who just thinks it's way cool! She said she will put it up un her cork board then on her door! Great idea Sarah- thanks. If any of you are still thinking about signing up you still can- click on the blinkie link UStamp to the left of my blog or click on Stamp with Heather. Have a great long weekend!

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Hello everyone! This is another project from UStamp-a "Fun Card". I made mine a birthday card. I haven't completed the inside yet. I still need to add a message and a gift card yet. Isn't it cute. I love how the band closes the card flap like a secret compartment for a bonus surprise!!! Cool hey! You can add anything inside you like. I might even add movie passes!

The card is for my sister-in-law who loves the movies! All products are from Stampin'Up! Well have a thrilling Thursday! Hopefully I'll have something to post tomorrow!

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

This is one of the UStamp projects that I completed. It's a small box that you can put something special inside. The one they made was "Wild About You" and it had a alligator on the front. I made mine more "pretty" for a friend of mine and I put 2 homemade chocolate chip cookies inside! You probably can't see it in the picture, but I raised the rose and petals up, and I wrote " just because"

My friend was glad I stopped by and loved the little gift I gave her, but she is on weight watchers , so I think she thinks I'm trying to sabotage her. Then I asked her if she was up for a long countryside bike ride? She was busy so she declined. So on my way I went solo!!! I think I biked about 25-30km? What a beautiful ride. Well hope you have a great night!

Sunday, August 17, 2008

My friend Heather had posted blog candy and the challenge was to suggest some new color combos for Christmas cards. So the funky colors you see is my creation. I love the way it turned out and I like the different colors, regardless if I don't win. I created something !!! I used some of the new Stampin' Up! in colors- riding hood red, kiwi kiss, baja breeze, tangerine tango and of coarse a touch of white! I added a pearl bead from the pretties kit and used the Celebrate the Season rub on from the level 3 hostess kit-Holiday Happening Bundle.

The stamp is from the Sale-a-Bration mini, and sorry, it's retired! I haven't ordered any "Christmas" or "Holiday" themed stamps yet. Well have a great evening!

Friday, August 15, 2008

Happy Friday! Yah the weekend is here! My daughter, who is 12 has a birthday party today, and asked me to make up a card for her friend. Nothin' like last minute!! So here it is . I used the owl stamp from Just Celebrate, a stamp that is now retired-sorry. I just love the owl!!! Owls are hot right now. We do have another great owl stamp set in the new catalogue-called Owl Together Now on page 50 of our New Catalogue that I love too! On the envelope I used a New Stamp called Sock Monkey, another of my favorite on page 51 of the Stampin" Up! new catalogue. They are just too cute. All products used are from Stampin" Up!
Enjoy your weekend!
