Cakes and more cakes

First off thanks to all the ladies that went with me to the PEDS Cancer fundraiser. We all had a great time!!! Thanks to your hubbies who watched the kids or your great sitters! I'm so glad we all had the chance to go! I will post Sunday the projects but on to today. I had a very busy day. My two youngest girls, Alexa who is 4 tomorrow and Sadie who will be 2 next Monday helped me make party cupcakes. I made a flower that I soo copied from my down line "sister" Chelle class she is taking- Wilton's cake decorating at Micheal's. As soon as I saw it I thought I need to make that for the girls cupcake party. So we made them up and they later decorated them with gummie bears,smarties and sprinkles.!!! Then my mother in law dropped off 2 rented pans for me to make cakes for Tomorrow. Apparently she thinks I can make anything!! I never made cakes before-with the pans and fancy icing. But I took the challenge and managed alright.I kinda like making cakes. May even take a course too!!! So here are my cakes! Remember I NEVER made them before, so don't be to hard on me!

Swap

I finally decided to do something courageous and join the UStamp swap. We would submit our name and address to Heather and she would pair us up with someone. I was very lucky to be paired up with Irene Wendlandt from Germany. She is VERY talented! Then I started to get nervous because I had to send her 3 cards I made and she in turn would send me 3. Well , she is super talented and me not so much, so I am afraid she won't be to happy with what she gets from me. I tried my best- just hope she likes them. I did love 1 of the 3, but I cased the design of the card from my up line Heather of course. I loved the design and the way it turned out! Hope you like it.
Tomorrow is the Pediatric Cancer fundraiser so I am super excited!!! Can hardly wait and I know the great ladies who are coming with me are too!! We've been counting down the days!!! Now the hours!!! I will post the projects after the event. Have a great night!

scrap book layout

Here is a super fun layout that we did for Got sketch103. I love the not so usual bold winter colors I used.. I think I'm in Spring mode, wouldn't you say? I like to do things bold and think out of the box sometimes. Hope you like it. Alexa and Sadie loved making ice cupcakes so I had to make it fun.Enjoy!!!

Mother's Day gift

Well it's been a busy day. I had alot of things I needed to get done. I had 2 loads of laundry, Sadie had library,had to bake cookies, then make my hubbie Sheppard's pie for supper , finish the last coat of paint in the bathroom-then clean the bathroom.... then there was family.. Boy what a busy afternoon!! Anyway I have a bunch of projects I've done but had no time to post. Well here is another UStamp project. I really love this one because it's so versatile. I chose a flower garden planting theme so I could give it to my mother in law for Mother's day! I hope she likes it.

My tween!

Well only a few more months and my tween will be a TEEN !!! Where has the time gone? I still remember her first smile and big blue eyes.. boy nothing has changed accept for the little look I get with those eyes! Well I guess I'm excited for her future, she's bright , beautiful and very outgoing! I'm sure she'll be something great.. wait and see. Love that girl...all my girls and my sweet son! Ok on to the post, it's a got sketch 103 post. So sit back and enjoy it, cause they are always amazing!!!

Special Treasure Box

Here is a super sweet treasure box to put special keepsake memories! Just think of the endless list of stuff you could hide away in here. You could put small pictures, hair locks from a first hair cut, special costume jewellery etc!!! You can always make the paper match your theme to what you'd like to store inside! I plan on putting special pieces of jewellery in mine!!! Shh, don't tell my kids! The girls will be in there in no time!! This box was a UStamp project originated from the dream team-Makeesha Byl... She is super talented from Australia I believe! I know I will be making more- one for each of my kids!!!

Pediatric Cancer, Fundraiser

Coming up at the end of February my up line Heather Summers is doing a fundraiser with her down line-Simply Stars( I am a part of this awesome down line) for Pediatric Cancer. We will be making Cards for a cure!!! Each kit will include the New super cute stamp set, Animal Crackers and all the supplies to make 7 great projects....and that's not all, Cookies and coffee and LOTS of great door prizes is included for the cost of ONLY $40. ( $10 will be donated directly to the family to disperse the funds to the areas in need!!) How great is that. So if you are willing to come out to Kings College in London, Ontario and have a great time while crafting and helping a great cause please email me by Wednesday evening .. and if are unable to attend you can still help out by purchasing a kit and I can send it out to you!! With Instructions on how to make the projects, as soon as payment is made!! How cool is that.

Valentines Day

So sorry this is late but I wanted to wish you all a Happy Heart Day! Here's to hoping something or someone special touched your heart today. If your feeling left out I'm sure there is someone out there thinking of you!I'll look to see what I can post for you seeing I didn't get the chance to create something for you... I had a Valentines Date night at a sister church where we had a great Roast Beef supper and a movie-Fireproof... Great movie, I cried repeatedly. If you all don't know my husband is a voleenter firefighter and is on the hire list for TO... and the movie is about a firefighter and his wife who encounter maritial problems. He then seeks advice from his father for a 40 day journey in acts of kindness to his wife and forming a commitment with the Lord. Very touching storyline! A must see! P>S make sure you have Kleenex close by!!!

2 Page layout

Well I'm not so sure why all my projects take sooo long for me to complete. Even then there nothing spectacular! I think I just need a break! I haven't jogged much lately where I used to jog every day. I would jog 5-7 km and it would make me feel refreshed and great...lately I've been tired and stressed! Time to do something about it!!! I know crafting helps relax me but I find I definitely need to be in the mood!
Anyway enough about me. Here's my double layout I did from my UStamp class. Hope you like it. Where there are long strips I will be adding a white strip over each with some journal ling.Well have a great night!!!

Treasure Chest

Well I finally finished the Treasure Chest to house my 3Pirate Cards! I used a new technique that I learned from UStamp known as Faux Leather. It was my first attempt and I had to improvise a bit because I didn't have all the stuff I needed. I like the way it turned out accept for the lock. I think I will replace the lock later.. Are you excited to see it!!!!! Well I know I had fun making it but it also took longer than planned. That always happens to me though.

Scrap book layout

Well it's raining outside.. so I hope most of the remaining snow will disappear!!! But, that also means that I will stay indoors and work on a few projects-I'm starting to fall behind on my on-line classes and if you know me, I do not like that one bit!!! I will struggle to getter done, no matter what! I must say though that I am off to a slow start....but hope I will win in the end!
Anyway here is a scrapbook page I did for my Got Sketch 103 online class. Love this class because it help me to get my scrap booking pages done. I've tried to set up a scrap book class but alot of people I know find it personal and want to make their own pages!! So here I struggle to do them on my own. If you are interested in joining a scrap booking class/ club let me know...
I would be thrilled!!!!

I love water coloring now!!!

I so love water coloring now... I'm starting to get a bit better at it! I love this next card that I did. It's part of a set and I will be making a treasure chest , I hope! Have it pictured in my mind ... so we'll see how it goes or looks when I get a chance to make it!!! Tonight I have a downline meeting with the great Simply Stars- that's our name , with the great Heather Summers ( my amazing upline) and one of the great ladies who started UStamp!!! I am soo Excited!!!! I'll be back for a post tomorrow. Hope you like the card!

Ahoy Matey

Well How are you all. Well today the challenge was water colouring. I've tried it before on regular whisper white card stock and found it easy... but the only thing was the paper would buckle. So today I tried it with water paper and found it more challenging... I guess practise, practise, and practise!!!!!
So for the online class- UStamp SAB there was a project that had water coloring so I used a retired stamp that I had bought to use for my son's birthday party but never used!!! He changed his mind-I was a little disappointed but thought I'd pull it out today. This is one of 3. I have to make the others yet and a bag, but will be a treasure chest!!! So check back in the next few days if you'd like to see it! I'm excited to see how it all turns out!

Well I was hoping that my boxed card set would be amazing and it's ok. I think I could have done a better job on some of the cards. So I hope that you leave me a note to compare the two types and styles. I used the Pun Fun stamp set- hope you like it! This is yet another great project form my upline Heather , on the online UStamp class.

Blog Candy-Prize

Ok the blog candy prize is 2-8 1/2 x 11 pumpkin pie card stock, 2-8 1/2 x 11 riding hood red card stock, 2-8 1/2 x 11 bashful blue card stock,2-8 1/2 x 11 very vanilla card stock,4-12x12 coordinating Designer paper (double sided of course) from the previous Catalogue- called Washington Apple and some bashful blue 1/4 ribbon and some pumpkin pie-1/2' stripped grosgrain ribbon. The UStamp Sale-a-bration Classes have started

I have been pretty busy working on projects for the online UStamp Sale-a-Bration class. My upline Heather is VERY talented friend. Heather and another demonstrator from the US- Dawn, have combined talent and set up an awesome online class. The classes have great projects, With many bonus projects, prizes and a chat room.
